AKC Obedience: Services

What is Obedience?

From walking on- and off-leash to retrieving and jumping, or demonstrating your dog’s ability to stay, Obedience trials feature dogs that are well-behaved at home, in public places, and in the presence of other dogs. It is essential that the obedience dog demonstrates willingness and enjoyment while it is working with the handler.

Introduction to Obedience

This class is designed to help you and your dog develop skills to be able to compete in CWAGS Obedience Competitions. During this six week course you and your dog will learn about competition obedience, learn how to navigate a course and practice the CWAGS Level 1 course. To be in this class the dog must know basic obedience such as walking nicely on a leash, sit, down, and stay. Classes fill up quickly so reserve your spot today by visiting the "Book Online" Page!

Obedience Club and Open Practice

Obedience Club is a great way for you to compete with your dog in an obedience competition. Each month a course will be set up for each of the CWAGS competition levels. You may compete with your dog or sign up as an exhibitor to practice you skills. By competing you and your dog gain more experience in rally, ribbons and prizes and points towards CWAGS titles.
On weeks when Obedience Club is not being held, I offer Open Obedience Practice where you and your dog can come and practice an obedience course at your own pace.
